Lido Replaced By Dreamland II

Gloom turns to Jubilation as the Lido's inevitable demise makes room for another theme park

With the announced closure of the Lido, and its replacement by yet more housing, came a sense of despair from locals.
But, in a radical change to its fate, and due to the incredible success of the revamped Dreamland in Margate, Cliftonville's Lido is now set to become "Dreamville".

Owners of the park say it is so successful that they don't doubt that a sister park, less than 2 miles away, will increase not only the company's trade, but tourism for the whole area.

Locals are said to be "chuffed" and the new plans have received no opposition.
