Earl Of Sandwich Hits The Big Time

Local musician Earl of Sandwich tops the album charts with his latest release

Selling more records this week than any other band or artist in the country, Earl of Sandwich is hot stuff. Music journalists don't seem to be able to praise him enough. Q Magazine said: "He's really really really reaaaallly good." while NME say: "He has rad hair."

Few seem to know that Earl is from Thanet, and indeed is something of a Nobleman. Hailing from the town of Sandwich, he spends most of his time writing, relaxing in his luxury villa, and recording in his home studio.

The album "Funk Time" is an eclectic mix of styles, with a strong funk-baroque grounding. Highlights include the groove inducing "Funk the Jabot" and "Ye Funk", as well as the chilled latino moods of "Costa Guillotine" and the upbeat "Dirty Sarabande".

Earl of Sandwich will be playing the Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone on the 23rd of January as part of a National tour.
